GOM seems to have frame by frame forward (F - key) but not backwards… only backwards options are 10, 60 and 300 secs. Try it out and tell us what do you think… Only crit for it would be that it doesn’t like to play DVD movies (although it should support them). It’s easy to use and the options are coherent and easy to understand (not like some options in VLC Media Player). Some of these drives don't allow raw access to the drive untill the drive firmware has done a regioncheck. The problem is that a lot of newer drives are RPC2 drives these days. Testing it is usually the quickest way to find out. Now I have been testing GOM Player for few weeks and I must say that it will stay as my primary player. VLC media player Does VLC support DVDs from all regions This mostly depends on your DVD drive. So I started to look for an alternative for VLC Media Player (player that plays all the videos and has the codecs build in).Īs a result I found an exellent video player named GOM Player ( ). So I switched to VLC Media Player and played the videos with that, but VLC has some things that I don’t like so much. Mainly as windows XP user, I have used Media Player Classic (and occasionally VLC Media Player for those non standard videos) for my video playback needs… Lately Media Player Classic has been acting really weird (even occasionally booting the computer) and I’m too occupied at the moment to investigate it further (reinstalling MPC doesn’t help). Ok, first of I am someone who rarely changes from a good program to another…
